The DXF Editor runs in your browser, free and with no account: you can open a DXF file (also DWG, SVG, PDF and STEP) without AutoCAD, see the drawing with its dimensions and change it, and the laser cutting price recalculates with every move. You start from a file, a photo or from scratch.
I have a file
DXF, DWG, SVG, PDF, STEP, STL, OBJ, 3MF, LightBurn, HPGL, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - one or several
I have a photo
A photo or scan of a paper sketch (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PDF) - you'll confirm the size yourself
From a photo we can read line drawings, sketches and logos. A photo of a real part will give distorted dimensions - perspective and shadows warp the outline. For a part, use a DXF or PDF file, or draw it here.
What can open a DXF file without AutoCAD?
Upload it on the “I have a file” card. The DXF Editor opens the file in your browser, with nothing to install and no account, and shows the part in millimetres with the width and height of the whole drawing. It reads DXF, DWG, SVG, PDF, STEP and other formats; in the same window you can change the dimensions, add holes and download the finished part as DXF or SVG, even without placing an order.
After you upload it the editor asks whether the size is right, for example that the part is 120 × 80 mm with 5 holes. You answer “Yes” or enter the right dimension.
Change a dimension
Click the width or height on the drawing and type a number; the field does the arithmetic for you (184+10 or 10 cm). The holes stay at the same distance from their edges.
Add a hole or a cut-out
On the toolbar choose “Hole” or “Cut-out”, click on the part and type the diameter or size as a number.
See the price
Once you choose a material, on the “Your part” card the price per piece recalculates after every change.
Undo a change
Ctrl+Z undoes the last move, and “Restore original” in the “More” menu goes back to the part as it was before any changes.
Download DXF or SVG
In the “More” menu choose “Download DXF” or “Download SVG”: free, with no account and without placing an order, once the part has a confirmed scale.
