What it is for
- A house or flat number cut out of sheet metal, to screw on by the entrance.
- A plate with a surname, a company name or a room number.
- A label for a machine, a control cabinet or a place in a warehouse.
- A spray-painting stencil: the cut-out text works as a mask.
What we don't do
- The text is cut right through (the letters are holes) in the Saira Stencil One typeface, licensed under the SIL OFL. The typeface has bridges, so the centres of letters such as O, 8 or 0 don't drop out. We don't cut another typeface or a logo from this shape: upload your own logo as a file.
- This is a flat plate cut raw: no engraving, bending or painting. Mild steel rusts without painting, so for outdoor use choose stainless steel or aluminium.
- With thick sheet or small letters, the strokes and the gaps between letters may be too narrow. The quality check looks at this before you order and asks what to do.
Dimension limits
The editor accepts dimensions within these limits and tells you what to fix outside them.
- Text: from 1 to 12
- Letter height: from 10 to 150 mm
- Margin around the text: from 1 to 500 mm
- Corner radius: from 0 to 750 mm
- Hole diameter (0 = none): from 0 to 100 mm
- Mounting holes (0, 2 or 4): from 0 to 4
