What to know about this sheet

Stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) does not rust in typical conditions and is usually not attracted by a magnet. It is cut with compressed air, so the edges show discolouration and burr and need extra finishing.

Prepare your file for this sheet

  • Closed contours - every contour must be closed, otherwise we can't tell what to cut.
  • Units and scale - draw in millimetres, at 1:1.
  • Kerf - draw the finished size of the part; don't offset the contour by half a kerf.
  • Layers and text - keep dimensions and annotations on a separate layer, not on the contour.
  • Maximum part size - the part must fit the sheet, and a detail can't be too small.
